CIPAA 2012 has come into operation on 15th April 2014. Since then, more than 30 referrals to Adjudication under the said Act have been made to KLRCA and around 10 DECISIONS successfully published.

There have also been some cases that have been referred to the High Court with a landmark judgment being issued recently by the Construction Court in December 2014 which has a far reaching effect on Adjudications undertaken under CIPAA.

In the implementation of the Act, the Adjudicators thus appointed as well as the KLRCA, have encountered a whole array of problems and challenges. It is KLRCA’s intent to share these experiences with construction industry players, to not only be aware of these problems/challenges faced but also to give guidance to all on future proceedings.

This Workshop will familiarise construction industry players with the CIPAA Exemption Order 2014, the CIPAA Regulations 2014 and the KLRCA Adjudication Rules & Procedure & Circulars.

This workshop is open to all and will involve Talks and Panel discussions where active participation from all attendees are desired.
