Workshop on UDRP Rules: Expert Approach to Initiating Domain Name Disputes
A registered trademark in the form of domain name has become a sine qua non for every business organisation. With over 330 million domain names registered worldwide there are ought to be disputes of trademark infringement especially when two entities cannot have the same domain name. Domain names are prey to several challenges including cybersquatting, typo-squatting or phishing among others. In light of the above, Domain Name Dispute Resolution has become the guardian of domain name and Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) its shield.
UDRP has been accredited with providing swift and time effective remedies to resolve a dispute regarding registration and use domain name. Recognizing the need of the hour, the Domain Name Dispute Resolution Committee KLRCA is organising a workshop concerning efficacy of UDRP, complaint filing procedure, legal concerns in UDRP and remedies available.
The workshop will feature expert speakers with plethora of experience in representing parties at different forums in domain name disputes.
