ADR Online: An AIAC Webinar Series - Changing Tides: Has Advocacy Been Transformed?
Please join us in our next webinar session, titled “Changing Tides: Has Advocacy Been Transformed?” on Thursday, 9th April 2020 at 6:30 p.m. MYT (GMT+8).
Tribunals and judicial systems have been in existence for and evolved over thousands of years. Lawyers of ancient times were said to be “learned in the law, powerful in oratory and debate, zealous in upholding the law of the land, devoted to the interests of their clients, and true to the finest ethics of their profession.” But, has advocacy transformed since its inception?
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, lawyers must determine the best way forward to advocate for their clients. However, with the introduction of new means for hearings, we are left to ponder whether the current methods and styles of advocacy will change.
Our panel speakers include Ms. Marion Smith QC and Mr. Edwin Glasgow CBE QC of 39 Essex Chambers, and this session will be moderated by Mr. Albertus Aldio Primaldi, Senior International Case Counsel of the AIAC. The panelists will discuss whether advocacy has transformed, even in light of the introduction of online dispute resolution.
Please register at: events@aiac.world and the webinar details will be provided to you.
