The outbreak of COVID-19 has impacted the global supply chain and the shipping industry. Cancellation or modification of shipping contracts might be required to accommodate the current situation. Given the shipping industry is often the first to feel the impact in economic downturns, disputes will probably arise as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.
In our next webinar, titled “Impact of COVID-19 on shipping disputes” on Wednesday, 22nd April at 5 p.m. MYT (GMT+8), the panel speakers will discuss various potential legal disputes in the shipping industry due to COVID-19, e.g. issues of delay, deviation, charter party disputes, marine insurance claims, etc. The panel will also discuss some of the topical issues relating to how COVID-19 is affecting the ongoing shipping disputes.
