The Malaysian Reserve – CIArb hails Malaysia’s global arbitration efforts
The Malaysian Reserve (11 June 2013) – The Chartered Institue of Arbitrators (CIArb) has commended Malaysia on its changing perception of international arbitration, a fact that will be discussed during its upcoming conference in Penang this year, an official of te institute said yesterday.
Though Singapore remains the leading country for arbitration, the CIArb and the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA) said Malaysia is making steady progress in this sector.
“Thanks to the dual efforts by the CIArb and the KLRCA there is growing awareness of arbitration in Malaysia. We are catching up with the Singaporeans,” said CIArb new president Vinayak Pradhan…
